The Harney County Historical Museum is located in Burns that render a vast variety of ancient displays that boast of artifacts of the American India lifestyle. From wildlife, farming and down to dental and medical tools, you can get to see a wide presentation of historical artifacts. All the relics featured in the museum were first stored in the County Courthouse basement while everyone was still waiting for the present museum to be built.
With the help of various pioneering families of the county and other resident collectors, everything was made up for display. It now tells a rich sense of culture and history and was also recognized as the Brewery Hill. It also once served as a yard for laundry and wrecking.
