Oregon is known for its numerous covered bridges. Although, most of them were built in the 1900s, as opposed to the late 1800s when it became a trend in other states, the fact even helped to maintain more of the said structures and have most of them usable until today.

The Hayden Bridge is one of these covered bridges in Oregon. It was built in 1918 and one of the last seven existing covered bridges in the state that were constructed before 1920. It crosses the Alsea River and measures 91 feet in span.

Like most other Oregon covered bridges, the Hayden Bridge is of the Howe truss design. It has been renovated in 1945 and was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1979.
