The Japanese Gardens in the West Hill of Portland is managed by the Japanese Garden Society. It is situated right on site of the old zoo and it features a tea house of ceremonies along with five various themes for a garden. This garden is hailed as one of the most authentic Japanese gardens that are located right outside of Japan.

The garden measures about 5.5 acres of land that is filled with beauty that is tranquil and nestling right in the beautiful scenic view of the west hills of Portland. In the garden is where you can also find some koi fish that are believed to refresh one’s state of mind and health. They also hold group tours and is friendly to disabled visitors.
