Located inside the campus of the University of Oregon in the city of Eugene, the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art is an art museum well known not only for its collections, but also for its building?s stunning architecture. The structure was completed in 1933 in part of the ?main university quadrangle. It was designed by Ellis F. Lawrence just like the other buildings on campus.

The Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art has always been in its current location. This is mainly because one of the former presidents of the school believed that a museum should be a part of the institution, as a university should be a hub for culture.

The Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art features more than 3000 art pieces from all over the world.
