Built for only a little more than three thousand dollars in 1928, the Lake Creek Bridge, also known as the Nelson Creek Bridge is a true covered bridge in the state of Oregon. It is one of the numerous covered bridges in Willamette Valley.

The Lake Creek Covered Bridge is 105 feet long and made with the Howe truss design. It was initially a wooden bridge when first built, but in 1984, it was overhauled and its wooden floors were replaced with pre-cast concrete. The whole process was quite tricky, especially since the new flooring did not support the trusses, so cranes were used to slide the parts into their proper places.

With this and other renovations done with the structure, the Lake Creek Covered Bridge still manages to be safe enough for traffic.
