First opened in 1925, the McDonald Theatre was actually intended to show live performances. However, when the movie industry soared to new heights and became the number one source of public entertainment soon after the building was finished, it was transformed to a movie house to gain more profits. It operated as a movie theatre until 2000 and was converted back to being a live performance theatre once again.

Today, the McDonald Theatre hosts tons of events on a regular basis. It even boasts of being able to have a wide spectrum of shows in a week that what they have in store will continuously surprise patrons and guests.
