The Milo McIver State Park is a state park and recreation area in Estacada, Oregon. It is located less than an hour away from Portland, the state’s largest city.
Noted for being the site where the government sponsored Vortex I, a week-long rock festival in 1970, was held, the Milo McIver State Park is little known, providing visitors a great time in having the place almost only to themselves. The great thing about the park is that it is rich in natural features, with a river, a forest, and fields.
Visitors of the Milo McIver State Park can enjoy hiking, horseback riding, camping, boating, bird watching, wildlife viewing, picnicking, fishing, and boating for starters. There’s also a 27-hole disc golf course, as well as historic and interpretive tours available.
