Mount Scott is one of the top attractions inside the Crater Lake National Park in Oregon. It is located on the southeast of the Crater Lake, providing the highest point inside the park with its summit. It is also Oregon Cascades’ tenth highest peak.

Mount Scott is a stratovolcano that is believed to be 420,000 years old already. It is one of the oldest of its sort in the Mount Mazama complex. It measures 8934 feet in height. It became extinct during the late Pleistocene period.

Home to a series of species of flora, Mount Scott is a popular hiking and trekking venue for Crater Park National Park visitors. There’s a trail that could lead visitors to the summit that will start at the Rim Drive and end on the fire lookout tower that stands at the summit.
