The North Fork Yachats Covered Bridge was built in 1938. It was the last covered span to be ever built by Otis Hamer, an expert and veteran bridge builder.

The North Fork Yachats Covered Bridge crosses the North Fork Yachats River. It is quite notable for being able to escape the ?creativity? of the ?graffiti artists? that commonly victimizes covered bridges. It was also the only thing that connects the families who live in the area to the other side, making it a very important and crucial part of the road.

After experiencing a massive accident in 1987, the North Fork Yachats Covered Bridge was rebuilt. It was rededicated in 1989 after having its trusses, approaches, slidings, and roof replaced.
