Crossing the Willamette River in Oregon City and West Linn, Oregon is the Oregon City Bridge. The structure is steel through arch bridge built as a part of the Oregon Route 43. It was opened in 1922.

The Oregon City Bridge is quite special. For one, it is the only bridge in the state to be encased in gunite. This detail is essential so the structure could be better protected against the corrosive sulfur dioxide that the paper mills nearby emit regularly. It was also quite narrow, being just 28 feet wide with 360 feet of long main span.

The Oregon City Bridge replaced an 1888 pedestrian bridge. It was added on the National Register of Historic Places in 2005 as the Willamette River (Oregon City) Bridge.
