The Oregon Film Museum is a relatively new tourist attraction in the state of Oregon. It was created in 2010 as a way to highlight and celebrate movies that were made in the state. It is housed in the old Clatsop County Jail which was featured in the 1985 film, The Goonies.

Being a state with tons of scenic points and areas, Oregon has always been present in tons of films. It has been used in the 1908 film, The Fisherman?s Bride, so the locale really has been through a lot with the movie industry. It has been used as a location for classics like the One Flew Over the Cuckoo?s Nest, The Great Race, the Animal House, The General, and The Goonies. It has even gained the nickname State ?Hollywood North?.

Displays in Oregon Film Museum mostly feature these films. Most of them are hands-on exhibits.
