Pass Creek Covered Bridge Rating: None

The Pass Creek Covered Bridge traces its history back to the 1870s. Apparently, the first bridge on the site was built around that time, when Drain was still an important area linking Jacksonville and the Willamette Valley. It was mostly a railroad bridge with an adjacent wagon bridge.

The current Pass Creek Covered Bridge is believed to have been built in 1906. Some argue that it was built in 1925, but it is also possible that the span was just replaced at the time, especially since old timers recall that one wagon crashed through the floor around the year 1920 for being too heavy with its Thanksgiving supplies.

The old wooden bridge is currently closed to traffic and a concrete bridge stands nearby.
