Also commonly referred to as the Dorena Bridge or the Star Bridge for its access to the Star Ranch, the Row River Covered Bridge was built around the year 1950. The plans of building a span across the Row River materialized after the Dorena Dam was completed, as well as the Government Road.

The Row River Covered Bridge came up to a total cost of $16,547 in the late 1940s to early 1950s. Its construction was supervised by the Lane County bridge foreman, Miller Sorenson. It was then renovated in 1987, years after it was bypassed by a concrete bridge.

The Row River Covered Bridge also has a wayside park near it. It was completed in 1996 after the county was given a grant from the Oregon Covered Bridge Program.
