Housed in the historic Oregon-American Lumber Company Mill Office is the Vernonia Pioneer Museum. The public venue is a local history museum with displays featuring the past of the county and the city of Vermonia. Some displays go back to the time when the area was still inhabited by Native American tribes, offering a wide variety of displays and information to visitors.

Vernonia Pioneer Museum puts tons of artifacts on display. Its building, the Oregon-American Lumber Company Mill Office is equally as historically valuable as well, as it played a role in developing local economy during its heyday. It is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

The Vernonia Pioneer Museum is open year-round, but with varying schedules, especially during the winter and spring seasons.
