Villard Hall is the second oldest building in the University of Oregon?s campus in Eugene, Oregon. It was built in 1886, and was initially known as the ?new building?, with the Deady Hall being the ?old? one.

The Villard Hall was named after the railroad magnate, Henry Villard. He played a huge role in developing the university, being its first benefactor, providing a good deal of financial aid to the institution.

Today, the Villard Hall is home to the Robinson Theater and the theater arts department. The theatre was renovated in 2007 and was completed in 2009.

Along with the Deady Hall, the Villard Hall is a National Historic Landmark. It is also listed on the National Register of Historic Places separately.
