The Yachats State Recreation Area is a state park and recreation area in Yachats, Oregon. It is a day use park located on the mouth of the Yachats River.

The thing about the Yachats State Recreation Area is that it is very accessible. It is located near the city center of the town of Yachats, reached by turning west on the town’s 2nd Street. Doing this will lead visitors to a small loop where a stunning view of the Yachats River can be gained. The park is quite small, but folks can immensely enjoy the view. Aside from watching the waves, people can also find a gray whale migration, especially if the timing is right. Activities such as picnicking, fishing, and bird watching are also popular at the park.
