Spanning the Yaquina Bay in the city of Newport, Oregon is the arch bridge, Yaquina Bay Bridge. Designed by the well acclaimed bridge builder Conde McCullough who did tons of work in the state, this structure is actually one of the most recognizable bridges in the US Route 101.

The Yaquina Bay Bridge was opened in 1936, after completion that ran a total cost of more than 1 million dollars. It is also notable for having 220 pour thirty thousand cubic yards of concrete and fabricate more than three thousand tons of steel.

The Yaquina Bay Bridge is a very distinct McCullough piece, as it has a number of elements that are unique to the builder. It measures a total of 600 feet in width and 3223 feet in length.
