The American Civil War Wax Museum has been visited by over 8 million people since it opened in 1962. Inside, visitors will be able to recreate the past by blending the voices of history with the scenes and words from unique dramatized set-ups and dioramas. These include the incident wherein Jennie Wade was baking bread when she was fatally shot in the kitchen of her sister. There is also John Brown, who was bound by ropes, as he walks to the gallows. It also depicts slaves who try to escape by using the Underground Railroad. Also, Abraham Lincoln can be seen sitting in the theatre on that historic day.
Visitors can also enter the Battleroom Auditorium, the internationally acclaimed feature that re-creates the Battle of Gettysburg.
