The Bloomsburg Fair is the largest agricultural fair in Pennsylvania, covering 236 acres. This annual event features livestock and horticultural exhibits, amusement rides, concerts, food, crafts, monster truck show, demolition derby, harness racing, live performances, fireworks, and much more. Grandstand entertainment is available every evening. During the day visitors can check out the hundreds of exhibits, food stands, and free entertainment.

Founded in 1854 by Caleb Bartob, the event was originally held as an agricultural exhibition located on the lower end of Second Street, which is now Main Street. The Blolomsburg Fair has since grown to be the largest fair in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The fair is usually held on the last week of September and runs for seven days. Fair attendance in 2006 reached 413,203 people.

The Bloomsburg Fair features its very own Midway and various carnival rides, along with other fair games, foods, shows, and contests. Fair contests include photography, canning, farm animals and baking. Various famous musical artists and comedians also provide live performances. Previous artists who performed during the Bloomsburg Fair include Lady Antebellum, Jeff Dunha, REO Speedwagon, Glorianna, Craig Morgan, Seether, David Cook, Josh Turner, Tonic, Miranda Lambert and Sugarland. The Bloomsburg Fair is also well known for having over 1500 food stands.

The fair also features a Veterans Memorial instituted by the Bloomsburg Fair Association wherein a veterans of all branches of the United States Armed Services will be recognized by engraving the veterans name and military branch on paver block for a price of $ 100.00. The Demolition Derby brings the fans to the Grandstand where big cars, little cars, buses and mini vans get smashed, crashed and bashed. The Big Rigs Pulling Series was the first semi truck motor sport series in the United States. Highflying excitement of motorcycle stunts can be expected from the Freestyle Motocross as the nation's top riders return to defend their titles as champions of extreme sports. The Horse Pulling Contest features a team of horses pulling a weighted sled a distance of 27'-6" to move onto the next round, each round the weight increases, until a winner is declared.
