Clyde Peeling?s Reptiland was established in 1964 and dedicated to providing a home to the less popular species of the animal kingdom, particularly amphibians and reptiles.

The zoo is an accredited member of the AZA and takes care of creatures such as tortoises, alligators, and a wide variety of snakes and frogs. At the zoo, visitors would be able to watch trained employees feed reptiles daily. Visitors may also join the Lizard Wizard & Turtle Trivia or try spinning a zoetrope to understand how sidewinder rattlesnakes are able to move in the desert.

The indoor exhibit complex had been recently renovated in order to provide comfort and convenience for visitors while viewing the recreated natural habitats in which over forty species live. In the months of summer, turtles and tortoises can be seen exploring their gardens and outdoor habitats.
