The Compass Inn Museum, a stagecoach stop that was built in 1799 and restored today, offers informative and entertaining tours by costumed docents who tell stories on the transportation and lifestyle of the people in the area in the early 1800?s. This restored Inn is fully furnished with period furniture and displays. Its seven rooms can be toured by the visitors so that they can have a better understanding of what it feels like to live in the 18th century. These rooms include the common room, ladies parlor, serving kitchen, and four other bedrooms that have their own distinctions. The Museum takes into consideration that the experience of staying in a hotel in the 1800?s is very different from experiencing it today.
