The French Azilum is a historic site that harbors the history of the refugees who lived in a place called the French Azilum for 10 years. When the repatriation rights were granted to citizens who fled around the world to avoid persecution, it was only then that these refugees were able to live freely.

The Site used to provide a setting for a certain group of French exiles who inhabited the place in 1793. It gave them pastoral serenity and a sense of undisturbed calm.

The French Azilum today, sitting on more than 20 acres from its original settlement, still contains an original foundation that can be viewed publicly. NO other structures from the original town survived but a cabin that was reconstructed and relocated now stands as a small museum that displays artifacts from the settlement.
