On an annual basis, there are about 25,000 people who go to the town of Ridgway just to witness or participate in the International Chainsaw Carvers Rendezvous. It is in the wilds of the Pennsylvanian highlands that the chainsaw carving contests are made to happen. There are about 200 chainsaw carvers that come from all around the globe to feature their talents and share new techniques on the art of doing chainsaw carving. They also have lots of demo sessions that get to teach others about the craft and out of that raise some money to give to charities.

The event is hosted by the master carver by the name of Rick Boni along with his wife Liz. It offers a lot of competitions, several safety classes and numerous carving displays. It comes also with an art auction and an opportunity for everyone to get to buy big and tiny pieces from all assembled artists, some communal meals and others who like live music. There is nothing that you would not enjoy about this event.
