The Penns Valley Area Historical Museum houses a collection of artifacts, research materials, and a genealogical library. It is operated by the Penns Valley Area Historical Museum Association, a non-profit educational organization which aims to achieve the discovery, collection, preservation, interpretation and presentation of the pre-historical, historical and cultural heritage the Penns Valley and Brush Valley regions as well as the people living in these areas. The Museum serves as the venue that enables the Association to do so. Through the Museum the Association also develops and offers educational programs. The Museum also offers the public access to its massive library of Genealogical items. There will always be someone who is willing to support the visitors who want to find information about their family.
Housed in the Rudy-Corman Building, the Penns Valley Museum boasts of an exciting permanent collection aside from its exhibits. It is open for group tours and company tours. It also has its own community services for companies who would like to contribute in promoting history to their organizations.

The Museum also houses its own Gift Shop offering special items such as books, music and more.
