Ranked as the fourth oldest in the state and tenth oldest in the country, Waldameer Park is one of the amusement venues to visit if you?re interested in history and want to have some fun at the same time. Since the admission to the park is free, it is really something that?s very interesting to see.

Initially opened in 1896 as a picnic area, the Waldameer Park soon became a top tourist spot, thanks to the trolley company that extended their route to the area. It then added rides in the early 1900s.

When visiting Waldameer Park, only the admission, parking, and shows are for free. To get on the rides or enjoy the water park, visitors will need to get ride tickets or bracelets which vary in rates.
