The Yuengling is the oldest brewery in United States which was established in 1829. It is famous with its flagship beer known as lager.It has two variations, the Traditional Lager and the Light Lager. The company also produces a trademark product under its name, the Yuengling Premium Beer. It seasonal product called Yuengling Bock is only available during spring season.

The Yuengling was known then as Eagle Brewery when David G. Yuengling first established the company in Pottsville, Pennsylvania. When the fire struck the site in 1831, the entire plant was destroyed. A new manufacturing plant was constructed in its current location in Mahantongo Street, Pottsville, Pennsylvania. When David?s son, Frederick decided to join the brewing venture, the company name was changed from Eagle Brewery to D.G. Yuengling and Son. The three generations of Yuengling managed the operation of the company.

The company experienced downfall during the 1919 prohibition of alcohol. To survive, the brewery started to manufacture dairy products and new beer products in line. In 1933, during the term of United States president Franklin D. Roosevelt, the company sent a truck of beer to the White House as it celebrated the lifting of national prohibition of alcohol. To meet the increasing demand of the market, the company built a second plant in Mill Creek area.

In 1976, the Yuengling was recognized by the nation as the oldest operating brewery company in the United States. As the company runs for almost two centuries, it has surpassed the two million-barrel record of beer production in America.
