Teatro La Perla, located in barrio Tercero, Ponce, Puerto Rico is the second oldest theater in the country. It is, however, the largest and most historic building of its kind in all of the Spanish speaking Caribbean countries. Aside from being a stage for artistic performances, it was also the venue for assemblies for groups that tackle social issues.

Teatro La Perla was inaugurated in 1864. It was first restored after the earthquake in 1918 that damaged it badly. After that, it was renovated once again in 1940 and 2006.

Today, this 1,047-seater theater is a constant venue for plays, operas, concerts, and other activities. It also has a small museum near the lobby, to commemorate and inform the visitors of its history.
