Staffed entirely by a number of volunteers, the Cape Verdean Museum Exhibit is a non-profit organization who provides cultural and ethnic shows as well as exhibits in East Providence, Rhode Island. The main theme of the shows and exhibits as well as the organization is to preserve the culture and heritage of Cape Verdeans.
The Museum opened on October 8, 2005 and started receiving visitors since March 25, 2006. Since then they have been to numerous schools performing as well as telling stories about Cape Verde. The museum as well as its volunteers takes parts in many events around Rhode Island. Moreover, they welcome group and student tours to the museum whenever special arrangements are made. The Museum features the rich cultural heritage as well as the history of Cape Verde.
