The Coggeshall Farm Museum lies in the land that is more than 7,000 acres. It has a coastal farm that is so ancient it dates back to 1790 and it is located on the Colt State Park that measures 48 acres. The farm went through a lot of owners through the years that have passed but it was never really owned by the Coggeshall Family. The Coggeshalls were just tenants and they were the farmers of the land for more than six decades.
The farmhouse that has now turned into a farm museum is a living project that was restored. It is in consistent attempts to recreate the daily lifestyle of the farmers during the period of the 1800s. It features the activities of the typical life during that ancient period.
