Housed in the declared National Historic Landmark building, Old Brick Market, the Museum of Newport History is a museum in Newport, Rhode Island featuring the colorful past of this wonderful city. It is owned and operated by the Newport Historical Society.

The Old Brick Market can be said to be a perfect location for the Museum of Newport History. With the building playing a huge role in the locals? life upon its completion in 1762, serving as an open-air arcade and market house, it is really a great spot to retell the place?s history.

The historic building was built by Peter Harrison and restored by Norman Isham from 192 to 1932. It now houses the Museum of Newport History, along with its gift shop. The museum features various exhibits that are mostly about the past significant events in the area, as well as its famous architecture.
