On top of a hill in Newport, Rhode Island stands a very old and unexplained structure made of stacked stones. People have different names for it, including the Viking Tower, Mysterious Tower, and the Old Stone Mill. However, it is most commonly known today as the Newport Tower.

Much debate and speculation circulates around the creation and building of the Newport Tower. Some people say that it is made by the Vikings, while historians and other scholars think that it is built during the colonial times. Earliest piece literature that mentions it is the will of Newport?s former governor, Benedict Arnold, which dates back to the 17th century.

The Newport Tower is believed to have once been a windmill. However, there are no conclusive ideas yet to the beginnings of this structural marvel.
