Also known as the Newport Colony House or the Old State House, the Old Colony House was built to house the meetings of the colonial legislature. It was completed in 1741 in the Georgian style architecture. It is a brick structure that can be found in the city of Newport, Rhode Island.

From its construction and up to this day, not much has been changed in the building. It is actually considered as one of the best-maintained surviving colonial public buildings in the Georgian style in the country. It was also the site of many historical and Revolutionary events in the state.

The Old Colony House was declared as a National Historic Landmark in 1960 for both its architectural and historical significance in the state and country.
