The Rhode Island School of Design is a prestigious design school that consistently ranks as one of the top art schools in the world. As a testament to the school’s dedication to art, it founded the Rhode Island School of Design Museum. Founded in 1877, it is currently the 20th largest art museum in the United States.

Also known as RISD Museum of Art, it boasts an extensive collection of artworks from across all disciplines and places around the world. It has separate galleries dedicated to Ancient, Asian, Contemporary, Decorative, Costume and Textiles, Painting and Sculpture, and Prints, Drawings and Photographs.

Among the museum’s notable displays are Rhode Island’s local artists like furniture made by Goddard and Townsend, as well as works of Picasso, Monet, Andy Warhol, and Paul Revere.
