The Slater Memorial Park was opened in the 1990s as a replacement to the Slater Park Zoo. It is filled to the brim with different recreational facilities, including thirteen picnic sites, tennis courts, playgrounds, a river walk, a pond (open for fishing), and a gazebo area.

But the really notable thing about the Slater Memorial Park is that a good couple of historical landmarks are included on site. It has the oldest building in Pawtucket in its area of responsibility, and is available for public access through the park?s Daggett Farm section.

The Slater Memorial Park is fully wheelchair accessible and ADA compliant. Roller skating and biking activities are also allowed and possible on the site?s concrete pathways and grounds.
