The Tomaquag Indian Memorial Museum houses exhibits that highlight the Narragansett Tribe of Southern New England. It also features the Rhode Island hero, Ellison “Tarzan” Brown, a prominent marathon runner and Olympic athlete who belonged to the tribe.

The Museum’s exhibits include the Eastern Woodland Basket Exhibit, which features ash splint baskets from the region. Visitors to the museum will be able to see cantainers, porcupine adorned containers, and stamped baskets on this exhibit. Another feature of the museum is the Music on Turtle Island, which enables visitors to see traditional musical instruments that are common to the region. They will also be educated on the instrument’s uses and materials. The Museum also houses the Narragansett Indian Church Exhibit and a Youth Mural.
