The Warwick Museum of Art is the largest non-profit arts organization in Warwick. It has been serving as the cultural center in the area since 1976. It has been providing the public a performance and exhibition space that features the most talented artists, writers and performers in within the state. To further promote the appreciation for culture among the people, it also hosts of a wide variety of cultural and artistic activities that pertains to comedy, music, theater, poetry and literature. It also has offerings that highlight the visual arts such as monthly exhibitions. The Warwick Museum of Art*continues to do so with the support of the Rhode Island State Council on the Arts, the City of Warwick, the State of Rhode Island, the Champlin Foundation, WMOA members and sponsors.

The 2004 Providence Phoenix Reader's Poll named the Warwick Museum of Art as the "Most Underappreciated Museum in Rhode Island" and the "Best Place to Hear a Reading." The Rhode Island Monthly Magazine further gives recognition to the facility as the home of Unexpected Company and the "Best Comedy Troupe in Rhode Island.?
