Noted for its architecture, the Bethesda Presbyterian Church is a certified National Historic Landmark located in the city of Camden, South Carolina. It was built in 1822 after the design of the well known architect, Robert Mills.

It is said that the Bethesda Presbyterian Church’s structure is a great example of Mills’ development as an artist and professional. His work in this building shows how he’s maturing and expresses his being strongly influenced by the Jeffersonian classicism. It is also believed that the structure shows a crucial phase in how Mills have contributed to what people know today as the American classical style.

Declared as a National Historic Landmark in 1985, the Bethesda Presbyterian Church is currently one of the few remaining churches today that Robert Mills worked on.
