Sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Hilton Head Island is the Annual Chili Cookoff. It is basically an event where professionals and amateurs compete to gain the title of the best chili recipe in the area. The winner gets chosen by the public who votes the best tasting recipe in both categories which will also be strained by the judges.

The Annual Chili Cookoff started as a small event, but has slowly managed to grow in size through the years. Today, it is one of the better known events in the island, celebrating the local hospitality and generosity of visitors and residents.

Buying a ticket will allow you to have as much chili as you want, although beverages are sold separately. There will also be antacids available on the site.
