The Hale-Elmore-Seibels House is a historic home in Columbia, South Carolina. It was built around 1790s, according to some educated guesses, but no one can be certain as records of when it was actually constructed were destroyed by a fire caused by the Union soldiers under General William Tecumseh Sherman in 1865. The guess 1790s is from the cravings of the numbers “1976” found in one of the house’s basement beams. Although, no one can be sure for certain, it is believed that this house is the oldest in the city of Columbia.

Also known simply as the Siebels House, the Hale-Elmore-Seibels House is currently under the car of the Historic Columbia Foundation. It is available for private events like weddings and other gatherings.
