The John Conant House is a post-bellum structure in Beaufort, South Carolina. It was built in 1880, although the property was already of existence during the Civil War. It was initially owned by a plantation owner, Margaret G. Milne. It was only acquired by John Conant after the war and built a new house consequently.

The John Conant House became the Conant?s family home afterwards. Conant opened an ice house which was their primary source of living. In 1925, the house was acquired by Mrs. PE Bellamy who opened the house to guests as the Bellamy Inn. It functioned as such until the 1950s.

When it was threatened to be demolished in the later half of the century, it was rescued and rehabilitated. It was also opened as an antique shop and office building. in 1997, it was purchased by the Beaufort Chamber of Commerce who uses it today as an office and visitors? center.
