Like many community historic districts, the Seneca Historic District is an area in Seneca, South Carolina that illustrates the growth of the area into what it is today. The site is designated US Historic District and has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

Composed of twenty residential buildings and three churches, the Seneca Historic District takes visitors back to the early days of the city. As Seneca was only founded in 1873. Being relatively young, it manages to cherish its past, allowing it to continuously care for its historic landmarks.

The Seneca Historic District is noted not only for being a proof of the area?s growth, but also for its architecture. Like other historic districts in the country, it is a great mixture of varied architectural styles and works reflecting the past times and trends.
