The Southern Railway Passenger Station was built in 1885 to serve as a railway passenger depot in Westminster, South Carolina. Its construction followed the establishment of the Atlanta and Charlotte Ari Line Railroad in the 1870s, allowing a station in Westminster to be built. It was used as a train station until 1969 when the passenger service to the area ceased.

When the Southern Railway Passenger Station stopped being a passenger station, the locals converted the building into a hall used for various purposes. At some point it was used as a meeting room. It was also used as a community health center.

The Southern Railway Passenger Station is one of the oldest buildings in Westminster. It was listed on the National Register in 1976. It currently seeks funds for restoration, after being damaged by fire in 2006.
