The Bramble Zoo houses more than 500 reptiles, mammals, and reptiles from all over the world. It includes 130 native Great Plains varieties that live in recreated naturalistic enclosures at Bramble Park Zoo.

The zoo enables visitors to observe amphibians, fishes, and reptiles that are housed in the Discovery Center. The Bramble Zoo also functions as a living classroom since it offers special tours for groups of 10 or more. All the offered tours meet the standards of the South Dakota State Science Standards.

There are also outreach programs and other activities that stimulate the minds of children to promote scientific thinking.

The Zoo houses its own Gift Shop where in visitors can purchase souvenirs and unique items that will make their Bramble Zoo experience more memorable.
