Take the path less traveled and discover the hidden beauty of the Black Hills region when you take the George Mickelson Trail in Lawrence County, South Dakota. This 108.8-mile trail route extends from Edgemont to Deadwood. It also includes a 3-mile road that connects Custer to Custer State Park. The trail provides a quick access to the city of Lead, South Dakota.

The tail follows the route of an abandoned railroad line. This trail allows people of all ages to witness the breathtaking views of the mountains and forests of the Black Hills region. Bikers, hikers, and horseback riders will find the trip quite an experience. This trail is also quite a scene by itself, as it contains several branches, four tunnels and over 100 converted railroad bridges. There are 15 trailheads along the route, so rest and rejuvenation won?t be a problem.
