Lutefisk, trolls and lefse abound every fall in the largest Scandinavian festival in the United States ? the Norsk H?stfest.

Norsk H?stfest, or Norwegian Autumn Festival, is a yearly fest held in Minot, North Dakota to celebrate the Scandinavian heritage of the state of North Dakota and the rest of the United States. Tens of thousands of people, of Scandinavian descent or not, flock to the festival to celebrate everything Nordic ? Norwegian food, Swedish Maypole dance, Finnish music, and many more.

The main highlight of the event include the announcement of winners of the Scandinavian-American Hall of Fame, an award bestowed to Scandinavian-American individuals who have made great achievements in their fields of endeavor. Other attractions include art displays, cultural exhibits, food tasting and fashion shows from various places like Iceland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Finland, and Estonia.
