The Booker T. Washington State Park is a state park and recreation area in Chattanooga, Tennessee. It?s a 353-acre park situated on the shores of the scenic Chickamauga Lake.

Named after the famous African American leader, Booker Taliaferro Washington, the Booker T. Washington State Park is a very popular outdoor destination. It offers opportunities for camping and picnicking. Visitors can also enjoy boating on the Lake Chickamauga. Fishing, however, is the most popular activity at the site, with the lake stocked with crappie, sauger, striped bass, catfish, largemouth bass, and walleye. Fishing is free, but those under 13 years old need to have a valid temporary or annual Tennessee fishing license. There?s also an Olympic size swimming pool at the park which is open from Wednesdays through Sundays.
