The four-day music fest is centered on country music and is hosted by the Country Music Association in Nashville. The yearly celebration started as a fan fair back in 1972 and now draws more than 400 celebrities and music artists throughout the event.

This year, the annual CMA Music Festival will be held from June 9-12, 2011. It will showcase more than thirty hours of free musical entertainment at the Riverfront Park and Music City stages.

During the event, celebrities and artists will give their time to fans performing special numbers and signing autographs. The artists will do this for free and half of the proceeds from the event are then given to charity programs that will help improve music education in the public schools of the state.
