Serving the community through sharing the story of the cotton plant, The Cotton Museum of the South offers the public an in depth look on the diverse technology behind the development of cotton production during the first half of the 20th century. The Cotton Museum efforts in preserving West Tennessee?s agricultural heritage to give the public an educational resource for the people to gain knowledge on how everything works from the cotton ginning process from boll to bale and to give a glimpse into the life of southerners from that period.
The Cotton Museum highlights artifacts through informative exhibits, educational tours and programs and research archives that will help tell the story of what cotton and cotton trading is and how to make fabric out of crop. The Museum is open to the public and is appropriate for field trips, excursions and even for walk-ins. Opened in March of 2006, the Cotton Museum has already been a favorite destination by tourists not only from the country but for foreigners as well.
