The Dixon Gallery and Gardens was founded by Hugo and Margaret Dixon in 1976. It is a fine art museum and a public garden that is distinguished by a series of diverse, unique, and innovative programs that enhance the visitors’ knowledge on the art and architecture.

Featuring more than 2,000 objects and situated on 17 acres of property, it boasts of French and American Impressionist paintings as well as German and English porcelain. About 8 to 10 exhibitions that cater to young adult visitors are hosted in the museum annually. The public garden, on the other hand, offers formal spaces, cutting gardens, and woodland tracts.

The Museum is a member of the American Public Gardens Association and Botanical Gardens Conservation International.
