The Jack Daniel Distillery, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, also happens to be the oldest registered distillery in the country. It was where the recipe of Daniels? famous No. 7 was concocted and where production of his well-loved whiskey continues. Last but not the least, it?s still home to fresh and unadulterated cave spring water, which is completely iron free and one of the precious ingredients of Jack Daniels whisky.

Personal tours are provided for free and take place every fifteen minutes. Each tour lasts about 1 hour and fifteen minutes and visitors are only kindly requested to refrain from carrying large bags or backpacks with them during the tour. If you?re lucky, you may even catch of a glimpse of Jeff Arnett at the site. For those unaware, Arnett is one of the few Master Distillers of the company, which was licensed in 1866 and only has a total of 7 Master Distillers in its entire history so far. At present, Arnett is responsible for the entire production process for the company?s whiskey, which include everything from milling to maturation.
